 If something has a little help button next to it you can click on the button to get specific help for that area of the site.
Finding Products
Products within the main categories (the buttons on the left hand side) are arranged into sub-categories to make it easier to find what you are looking for.
Once you have chosen a category, click on the dropdown list to quickly enter the sub-category pages. Once you are there you can add products to your lorry.
Instead of browsing through by category, you can also search directly for products or for brands of product. Just type a word into the ‘quick search’ box on the left and click ‘go’. You will be presented with a list of all products with that word in the name.
Adding products to your lorry
To add products to your lorry, you can use the Products or Order Favourites tables.
Simply enter the quantity of each product required in the ‘order quantity’ box next to it, then click the ‘add to order’ button.
You can add more than one listed product to your lorry at once; just complete more than one quantity box before clicking on the ‘add to order button’.
Save & Select
 If a product has a number next to it you will accumulate that number of Save & Select points when you purchase it.
Click on the points in the product tables, or on the Save & Select button on the left navigation to find out more about the Save & Select scheme.
Info buttons
 If a product has an info button next to it you can click on the button to get additional information about the product.
Amending your order
You have been adding products to your lorry by typing the quantity required in the ‘Order Qty’ column of the Products or Order Favourites tables.
To change the quantity of a product already in your lorry, just change the number that appears in the quantity box and click on the ‘update order’ button.
To remove a product from your lorry, simply set the quantity to zero and click on the ‘update order’ button.
Once you are happy that your order is complete, click on the ‘go to checkout’ button.
‘Is my order kept for me if I leave the site?’
Your order will be saved for you indefinitely until you have been through the checkout. At this time, all ordered items are automatically saved to your Order Favourites list.
Ordering favourite items
Every time you place an order through the VA Whitley web site, it keeps a record for you of the products you have ordered.
When you come back to order again, we can remind you what you ordered last time, to save you having to find the same products again.
The Order Favourites page presents you with a list of products you have previously ordered. If you wish to, you can easily add these to your lorry by typing the quantity required in the ‘order quantity’ boxes next to each product. Remember to click the ‘add to order’ button.
Confirming your order
If your order is not complete, then click on the ‘continue shopping’ button.
If you want to amend your email address, the delivery address or any of your other details, click here.
If your order is complete and correct, click on the ‘send my order now’ button.
You will recieve a confirmation email detailing the products you ordered, and your order will be dispatched and sent to the delivery address you specified in your settings.
The Checkout
To place an order with V.A.Whitley for products, you will need to have registered with us. You only need to register once, and it is a short process.
You can also edit your details when you come through the checkout point again.
Your order will be saved for you indefinitely until you have been through the checkout and the order has been sent. After the order is sent, all of your items are automatically saved to your ‘Order Favourites’ list.
Changing your settings
The settings you gave us when you registered for the first time are kept in the settings page.
You may wish to change some of your personal details or amend which depot is your nearest one. When you do so, the emails you recieve will come from the depot you have chosen.
Please make sure that you fill in the delivery address as well as the billing address.
