The world around us is changing, and it’s changing fast. Many of the raw materials and ingredients that we useto freshly prepare your Fish & Chips are increasing in price.

As a result of these changes, we will have to consider our prices too. We hope that our explanations below will help you understand what is going on.

FISH

The reduction in some fishing quotas and high demand in Cod and Haddock worldwide has resulted inless fillets being available: what is available is at a higher price.

POTATOES & PEAS

The hot, dry summer, dramatically affected thepotato and pea crops, reducing supply and causing price increases.

FLOUR

Wheat has also been affected by the summer, producing lower yields and increasing prices.

FRYING OILS & FATS

Currency is the driving force in fats and oils, resulting in fluctuating prices since Brexit was announced.

PLASTIC PACKAGING REFORMS

Reducing the use of plastic packaging has put pressure on paper-based alternatives casuing significant price increases. We hope this information helps toexplain why we are having to adjust the prices of our Fish & Chips.
